If you ever walk into a tattoo shop and the people who work there do not greet you with the happiness of a dog when you get home from work, it would do you well to turn around and calmly leave that shop.
We as tattooists are there because of YOU! We get to live our “Footloose and Fancy Free” life-style because of the love, patience, support and skin of the people in our chairs.
Thank you everyone for giving me so much fun work to do and making the life I’d always wanted my reality. I appreciate all of you more than my words or images can say.
Thank you.! ~M
Things are BUSY!!! As of next weekend. I will be offering extended appointment hours on Friday, Saturday and the occasional Monday 1/2 day. If interested message, call or email me. I have the fortune to work at a great shop with some amazing colleagues and friends. But it is because of each and every one of you that has created and enabled many of the good things in my world and I thank you! Now tell your friends, keep the great ideas and fun challenges coming and know how much I appreciate you all! Thank you! ~Matt Graham, spring 2015
After a very long winter we are now finally enjoying some milder weather. While the sunlight feels good now, summer is right around the corner so it is important for everyone to remember your tattoos while enjoying the upcoming weather.
The sun is your artwork’s mortal enemy. Even the most perfectly applied tattoo can and will suffer degradation in detail, color and texture if not protected from the sun and damaging ultraviolet light. Please keep your tattoo protected by applying sunblock with a high SPF factor and re-applying often. (50SPF means that that product will protect you from damaging rays for 50 minutes). If you bought “Waterproof” sunblock, it is still a good idea to re-apply sunblock after exiting the water.
If your tattoo is new, you must remain out of the water for a minimum of two weeks. Showering will not harm your tattoo but please do not submerge your new artwork. Sunblock can not be applied to a tattoo during the healing phase, so the sun must be avoided.
Your tattoo is an lifelong investment and it is up to you to protect it.
I hope everyone enjoys a happy and safe summer.
